The brand “Strasbourg the europtimist”

Strasbourg is a city bursting with life and enterprise. It wants to mark out its territory and express its unique position in Europe.

With its boundless skills, expertise and talents, Strasbourg the European has much to offer and it wants the world to know!

Why a brand?

Strasbourg the europtimist, is a strong, unifying brand which symbolises the diversity of the city's economic stakeholders and their values: the Europe of many peoples, the crossroads of knowledge, entrepreneurship, creativity, inventiveness, confidence in the future and ambition. Strasbourg, a highly attractive city for expanding and, for living and investing in.

Why this brand?

Strasbourg the europtimist represents these values: its finely rounded curves show a generous, free, open and positive brand. Red and green combine to show the optimistic, ecological, entrepreneurial and dynamic character of the city. The superimposed dots illustrate growth and channeled, well-controlled energy, audacity, drive and imagination. The exclamation mark is a statement of these values, and can be seen both in the second “I” and in the cascading circles.

How you too can spread the europtimist message

The “Strasbourg the europtimist” brand is central to the promotion campaign led by public and private sector stakeholders within the region. If you also want to play your part in boosting the image of Strasbourg both nationally and internationally, enhancing its appeal and becoming a cheerleader for your city, you can do the following:
  • Download the graphic tools and make free use of the brand (there is no selection committee, but you are asked to use the brand in line with its visual identity and for the purpose of promoting the city).
  • Become a member of the “circle of europtimists “ and be part of the strategic workgroups tasked to set out, prioritise and structure collective actions for promoting Strasbourg.
The CUS (The Strasbourg City Council) is the coordinator of the process and as such is the central contact.
